The World of Banksy has proudly established the benchmark for Banksy exhibitions by pioneering the concept of assembling and presenting Banksy’s iconic artworks within a single venue. Our exhibitions consistently push the boundaries of creativity and delve into innovative modes of artistic expression.
With our partner companies all around the world, from France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany and England, we are proudly collaborating with several collectors of Banksy’s originals as well as recreating his work with the top local graffiti artists.
Our exhibitions attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to the most renowned galleries all across Europe as well as our recent exhibition in Dubai.
The World of Banksy focuses on bringing the artist’s message closer to a wider audience without a need to travel. Especially in the cities where his art has not appeared yet, art lovers all around Europe can enjoy Banksy’s street art all at one place and contemplate his ideas disputing many political themes such as war, imperialism, peace, individualism, greed, poverty, capitalism, consumerism and hypocrisy.
In the spirit of Banksy’s famously known claim that “Copyright is for losers”, our exhibitions are proudly and openly “100% unauthorized” and have been organised entirely without his involvement.
Banksy, the British graffiti artist, is considered one of the main representatives of contemporary street art. His works, often satirical, address universal issues such as politics, culture or ethics.
He is one of the most famous “unknown people” whose thought-provoking works appeared in some of the most controversial places around the world. While he transformed streets from London to New York, from Berlin to Timbuktu, from Gaza to Tokyo into a giant canvas, he was also hung on the walls of major art institutions such as the British Museum, Tate Modern and the Louvre Museum.
Banksy is a mysterious artist with an unknown identity but globally recognized works.
His criticism of pop-cultural imagery, politics and even art and museums has been viewed as a simple revolt by some; and interpreted as ingenious by the majority of others. The pop star Christina Aguilera bought Banksy’s work depicting Queen Victoria as a lesbian and Justin Bieber got the “Red Balloon Girl” tattooed on his arm. Despite standing up against the commodification of art, auction houses found buyers for Banksy’s works at record prices. In 2010, alongside Lady Gaga, Obama, Robert Pattinson, Sir Elton John, and Prince, Banksy was also named one of the world’s most influential people by the Time Magazine.
We hold Banksy exhibitions all across the world and we are constantly adding new locations where you can experience work of one the most celebrated contemporary artist. Check here to stay up-to-date.
